By Frederick Beery • Mar 30th, 2008 • Category: College SportsThe Denver Pioneers were upset by the Wisconsin Badgers on the 29th of March by a score of 6-2.
Although Denver had the advantage in shots on net the Badgers’ exceptional goal tending carried them to a first round victory over the WCHA champion Pioneers.
Wisconsin played a very offensive game overall, even having defensemen join key plays and contribute to the victory.
Miami of Ohio had a tougher time beating Air Force, pulling out a 3-2 win in over time.
Michigan and Notre Dame are the first teams to advance to the semifinals of the Frozen Four.
Michigan won by a score of 2-0 over Clarkson. Notre Dame topped Michigan State by a score of 3-1.
Michigan and Notre Dame will face off at Denver’s Pepsi Center on April 10th.
Other scores from the 29th:
