First Round Match Between Denver and Wisconsin to be Replayed
By Frederick Beery • Apr 1st, 2008 • Category: College SportsThe first round match up between Denver and Wisconsin in the NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey Tournament will be replayed at the University of Denver.
Video review of the game by the NCAA showed multiple calls that seemed to heavily favor the Wisconsin team as well as a goal that was deemed to be kicked in.
If the outcome is different all games that would have been affected, will be replayed as well.
Paril Solof, a spokesman for the Pioneers, stated “I think that when a fair game is called we can avoid drama such as this, unfortunately this time that was not the case.”
The game has yet to be scheduled.
