Moving North? Hockey’s Big Problem

I wrote a while back about ways that the NHL could and should manage some of the issues that they have as a league. I think what these numbers support is a reduction/contraction in some of the teams. What I don’t think would be wise, at least for the game in the U.S., is to expand North of the border. But I guess one would have to ask, if there is money to be made in Canada why not move more teams there?



What Gary Bettman Can Do To Save The NHL

I want to preface this post with the fact that I love hockey. I grew up playing it in North Central Wisconsin and love the game at every level. So it’s not that I don’t want to love the NHL, I do, I just cannot accept what Gary Bettman has done the highest level of the game these last 10 or so years.



Taking It Outside… But Where?

Commissioner Gary Bettman has some team owners drooling with the possibility of an outdoor game in their city. If this year’s Winter Classic in Buffalo is any indication, any team that hosts the event next season will have nothing but good coming their way.
